Tiffany Michele Goines was a 12-year-old girl who disappeared from Frederick, Maryland, on the 5th of December 1987. She had left her home to go and visit a friend and run some errands for a neighbour and was supposed to return home at 5pm.
Tiffany was last seen getting into a vehicle just outside of her family home at John Hanson Apartments on North Bentz Street. Reports differ as to whether the vehicle was a red convertible or a light-blue two-door Chevrolet Impala with the licence plate number beginning in GH and ending in 22.
Tiffany’s mother started to search for her at 9pm that evening. At the time, her mother had to wait for 24hours before reporting Tiffany as missing due to procedures that were in place.
Tiffany has not been seen or heard from since then.
For over 20 years, Tiffany’s mother slept in the front room of her apartment in case Tiffany knocked on the door in the middle of the night. The John Hanson apartments were demolished in 2005, so Tiffany’s mother had to move but she still lives in the local area and hopes to find her daughter. She believes that Tiffany was abducted but is still alive.
Tiffany was 12 years old at the time of her disappearance. She was a black female, 5″0′ and weighed 78lbs. She had black hair that was shoulder length and in braids, brown eyes, wore large brown-framed eyeglasses and a lazy left eye that turns inward. Some agencies may spell her middle name as “Michelle”. She also had a healed fracture to the proximal phalanx of her left 5th finger.
She was wearing a white sweatshirt with a picture on it, blue cotton pants, either a blue jacket or a white nylon coat, white cotton socks, white sneakers with no laces, brown gloves and a white cloth belt.
The police have said that they have not had any new leads in Tiffany’s case in quite some time. If Tiffany is still alive today, she would be 47 years old.
