On November the 17th 2012, the skull of a young woman was found in Newport Township, which is located in Luzerne County in Pennsylvania. It is believed that the skull had been at the site since the 1960s, and it is also suspected that the young woman died as a result of a homicide.
The Luzerne Foundation, in partnership with the Luzerne County District Attorney’s office and Pennsylvania State Police, are making efforts to raise money in order to carry out forensic genealogy on the woman’s remains.
All that is known about the young woman is that she was between the ages of 13 and 21 when she passed away. It is also thought she could be of either White, Native American or Hispanic descent.
Below are some images depicting what the woman could have looked like in life with different hairstyles.
If you recognise this woman or have information regarding her death, please contact the Luzerne District Attorney’s Office at 570-825-1674.
