Atlantic County Jane Doe (1971)

On December the 6th 1971, the skeletal remains of a female child/teenager/young adult were found in Galloway Township, New Jersey. It is thought that she was strangled to death.

Her remains were found just off Jim Leeds Road, in a wooded area, which is close to milepost #42 of the Garden State Parkway in Galloway Township, New Jersey.

Jane Doe is described as being between 12 and 18 years old at the time of her death. She weighed between 105 and 130 lbs and stood between 5″1′ and 5″4′. She had naturally brown hair, but around the time of her death, she had shades of blonde, brown and red indicating that she most likely dyed her hair.

She was found wearing a white bra, panties, brown leather sandals, a blue ribbed cotton/synthetic shirt, white blue and orange striped canvas/cotton trousers of the hip-hugger variety and a brown leather band with small brass rings which also contained a ladies Westclock watch.

Despite 11 girls being ruled out as Jane Doe, her true identity has never been found.

Do you know who she is?
