Startex Jane Doe (2011)

Startex Jane Doe, also known as Ms Startex, is the name given to an unidentified female who was discovered under a couch alongside Highway 290 in Startex, South Carolina on the 26th of October 2011. Jane Doe is currently undergoing testing by the DNA Doe Project. Genealogy testing has revealed that she had ancestral ties to the Southeastern United States and Puerto Rico.

Jane Doe is described as being a white female between 40 and 55 years old standing around 5’5″ and she had an average build. It is thought that she had died between 2 and 10 years before she was found, and her cause of death has been ruled a homicide. She had dark, auburn hair that had most likely been dyed and pierced ears. She was wearing gold earrings with a red stone in them at the time of her death.

She had a fracture that was healing in her sternum, which indicates that she could have been in a vehicle accident between 2 and 8 weeks before her death. Jane Doe also could have suffered from thoracic outlet syndrome, which would have caused her to have pain and numbness in her forearm and hand.

Whilst it is hopeful that the DNA testing will help to reveal her true identity, there must be somebody out there that recognises her photo. Do you recognise her?
